Rhoda Plange
Rhoda is doing Relay in Birmingham, supporting the Christian Union in Aston University.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Rhoda says...
Hi, I'm Rhoda and I'll be doing Relay in Birmingham with Aston University this year. Thank you for checking out my support page!
I'm so excited to be working as a Relay and to continue witnessing God's heart for students. Being at uni was when I really got the chance to make my faith my own, and I got to see first-hand the incredible growth of me and my friends' faith through mission events, going through Uncover together and small moments of encouragement like chats over coffee. My time at CU was invaluable to me, and I can't wait to see how God continues in His plan to reach students in the upcoming year.
I’m most excited to meet students at all stages of faith & be a support to them on their journey. I'm praying that they will truly see and experience all the love God has for them, and that from this the gospel would permeate the hearts of students across Aston University’s campus. I’m also looking forward to seeing how God grows me in my faith and confidence.
As Relay is a voluntary position, I will be relying on the generosity and support of others for living/ministry costs throughout the year. If you would be able to support me financially or through prayer, it would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to get in touch or follow the links below!
Pray for Rhoda
Prayer is a vital part of supporting Rhoda’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Rhoda:
- That God would grow me through this year and help me to depend on Him for everything I will need throughout my time as a Relay Worker.
- For the hearts and lives of Aston University students - that non-Christian students will have soft hearts and that the CU will grow in love for God and boldness in evangelism.
- That by the end of the year we will have incredible testimonies, and for the glory to return to God.
