Heidi Ibe
Growing up in a Christian family, Heidi has always had a heart for Jesus and for people, and especially to combine those two things by sharing about Jesus with people. As a music student in Leeds, one of Heidi’s greatest joys was being part of the Christian Union where she discovered many others passionate to see their friends come to know Jesus.
After a year as a Relay Worker in Leeds, Heidi moved to Bucharest to work with OSCER (the IFES movement in Romania) particularly leading a group for International Students. She loves learning about different cultures, languages, visiting new places (especially the mountains) and trying different foods. This cross-cultural experience had a significant impact in her understanding of God as the God of the nations with a deeper knowledge that every individual’s unique story greatly impacts their view of life and yet Jesus is still the one who ultimately satisfies every need, longing and desire.
Sharing the gospel amongst students is a unique and strategic opportunity to make Jesus known in the heart of society, to the upcoming generation of leaders and world changers from across the globe. She is excited to help Christian students in Leeds think creatively about how to reach every corner of the campus with the gospel so every student no matter their background, field of study or beliefs can have an opportunity to hear the truth in a way which engages their biggest questions, fears and desires.
