Jorge Capera
As a CU Staff Worker, I form and resource amazing students at the Universities of Salford and Lancashire, and at Manchester Metropolitan University for evangelism. I also work with courageous students at the University Campus of Football Business who are pioneering a Christian Union.
I love my work because I have seen, again and again, that Jesus makes a difference in the lives of students. My own life was changed when friends shared Jesus with me while I was growing up in Colombia, my home country. While at university in Liverpool, and during my first season as a Staff Worker in Lancashire and Cumbria, I saw students grow and flourish when they encountered Christ. That is why I enjoy preparing Bible studies and seminars to equip students to live for Jesus while at university, and coming alongside CU leaders as they plan evangelistic events.
When I'm not working, I enjoy a good chat with a friend over coffee, or learning something new about people and cultures. You might also find me salsa dancing, playing Bananagrams or going for a walk in the countryside.
