Angharad West

Angharad is doing Relay in Cardiff, supporting the Christian Union in Cardiff University.

Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.

Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Angharad says...

Hi, I am Hady and I will be doing Relay in Cardiff!

University, for me, was a key time for me to explore who I was and who I wanted to be. As such, I want to walk alongside other people experiencing the same thing and share with them the beauty of knowing Jesus. With a background of unbelief, a degree in physics, and a passion for apologetics, I am excited to engage in thoughtful conversations about why we believe what we believe. I want to show that faith in God isn’t as far-fetched as it might seem, and that He’s both real and deeply personal. I’m also really looking forward to walking alongside the Christian Union, encouraging and supporting students as they live out their faith and share Jesus with boldness and compassion.

But this journey isn’t one I can take alone. Relay is very much a team effort. More than anything, I would love your prayers. This is God’s mission, not mine, and I want Him to be at the heart of every part of it. If you are in a position to give financially, I would also be incredibly grateful for your support. Relay is an unpaid year, and any contribution, big or small, will go toward my living and ministry expenses and will help make this year possible.
