Serena Cook
Serena is doing Relay in Aberystwyth, supporting the Christian Unions in Aberystwyth University and UWTSD Lampeter.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Hello! My name's Serena and this year I'm going to be in Aberystwyth supporting the CU there and in Lampeter in their mission. I studied Psychology in Aber and it was amazing being part of the CU and their mission, so I'm really excited to be staying on as a Relay Worker! I'm looking forward to getting alongside the students and supporting them in their faith as well as encouraging them to share the gospel with the friends. It's been amazing seeing God work through the students here over the past few years and I can't wait to see how God works over the next year!
Prayer is so important and we need God's wisdom and strength when doing mission so if you'd like to pray for the work that is going on in Aber and Lampeter CU I will be sending out regular prayer letters which you can sign up for. Prayer is a vital part of supporting Serena’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Serena:
- Praise God for the work He has already been doing and the new growth in students wanting to invite their friends to CU events and to Church.
- For boldness that students would continue to share the Good News with their friends and for the freshers coming in September that they may grow more in their faith and be wanting to tell others about Jesus.
- That I would always be relying on God and seeking His will when supporting the CUs.
