Sam Brown
Sam is doing Relay in Cardiff, supporting the Christian Unions in Cardiff Metropolitan University and Cardiff University.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Sam says...
Hi, I'm Sam and I'll be undertaking Relay in Cardiff over the next year!
Over the last three years I've been blessed to have been involved with all things Christian Union, and have seen my faith massively grow in that time. Developing an incredible group of friends and being plugged into a brilliant church through first connecting with the CU has significantly enhanced my university experience.
As well as an amazing community, the CU has provided many opportunities for me to learn more about God's love for all of us, grow in knowledge of the many ways we can serve the wider campus, and then actually putting it into action! Through handing out flyers and chatting to passers by, I have seen my own joy in serving God grow, and many students come along to CU events and church to hear about the incredible God we serve. Now my studies have come to an end, I'm looking forward to diving into studying theology, being discipled, and discipling others to help point them towards Jesus!
It is an absolute privilege to be able to serve Cardiff as a Relay this year but as I step into this season, I'd love your support! Relay is a self-funded programme, so I would be super grateful if you would consider partnering with me this year. I would massively appreciate prayer towards my year and the CUs I'll be working with, and if you're able, any financial support would be very appreciated!

- Pray for the increased growth of unity amongst all churches in Cardiff and that the Christian Unions would reflect a wide range of amazing churches!
- Pray for faith within the Cardiff Christian Unions to pray big prayers and see God move in massive ways!
- Pray for growing intrigue of non-Christian students to what the Christian Unions are doing, and that it would be a welcome place for all!
