Jasmine Svanda

Jasmine is doing Relay in Colchester, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Essex.

Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.

Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Jasmine says...

Hi! I’m Jasmine, and I am very excited to start Relay and work alongside the University of Essex.

I have had the privilege to be a part of Essex CU for the past three years whilst I have been studying Law with Business. CU was key in growing my faith and equipping me to spread the gospel. I loved meeting other students who loved Jesus and wanted to spread the good news across our campus.

University is a unique opportunity for many students to discover faith and be curious in asking life’s big questions. I have witnessed many students being open to hearing and understanding the gospel. Through things such as outreach events and bible studies, I will be working alongside students. I cannot wait to support students and help them discover Jesus!

As part of the Relay program, I will be gathering a team of people to support me, financially and in prayer. I would love it if you'd consider partnering with me in either or both of those ways! Any financial gifts will be so valuable in helping to fund my living and ministry expenses and would be so gratefully received. I will be sending out monthly prayer letters to keep you up to date on what I am involved with and with specific things for prayer, so you can be praying along with me throughout this year.

That God will continue to grow me in Christ’s likeness, and that I become more reliant on him
