Tom Mawdesley
Tom first came to Oxford in 2017 to study History. Amidst essays and lots of pool in the college bar, university was deeply formative for him as a Christian. The Christian faith was not all about values that were merely assented to, but all about Jesus and the life that he brings! The notion of sharing Jesus with others was not something that Tom had really done before coming to University. Being part of the CU, however, changed that wonderfully.
Since graduating, Tom has been involved in student ministry at various churches - first in Oxford, then in Bristol. For him, there is something really exciting about seeing students encounter Jesus as they engage with the glorious truths of the Scriptures. Doing this is what excites him most about his role as a UCCF Staff Worker in Oxford.
When not working with students, you may find Tom enjoying a coffee with his wife Emily, reading, or cycling out into the Cotswolds!
