Edmund Nogueiro

Edmund grew up in a Christian home in South West London, something he took for granted but is very grateful for looking back at his life. Whilst he was convinced that God existed and that he was due for judgment, he did not have certainity of salvation or confidence that he could obtain it.

There was no real pinpoint moment in his life where it all changed or became clear, but gradually, and in God's kindness he came to know more joyful truths about the Gospel, both during his teenage years but more significantly, during his time at University.

Edmund went to the University of Roehampton to study Business Management. During his time, he met a couple of key figures that discipled him and invested in regular bible reading and friendship. Looking back, Edmund is glad he used the opportunities presented at university to live openly for Christ and is grateful to the Christian Union for not only giving him a platform to share the Gospel with his friends and course mates but also for encouraging, equipping and instilling the urgency of evangelism within him.

After working with the NHS for 3 years, Edmund came to realise that Christian Unions hold a unique place within universities to share the Gospel extremely well, and whilst he was always told University was the last best opportunity to share the Gospel (and to some extent believed it) the lived experience had made in a sure reality.

After being invited to share a talk at a CU meeting, Edmund had his passion for student evangelism re-ignited. He is excited to see what God will do over his time with UCCF and is trusting in the knowledge that God works through weak people for the growth of God's kingdom and for the glory of his son Jesus.
