Rachel Tallintire

As a student, the Christian Union was a massive source of encouragement, strength and growth as I navigated being a Christian away from my family for the first time. I made lifelong friendships with others passionate about Jesus, learned to be unashamed of my faith, and properly stepped out in evangelism for the first time. It was a formational time, and greatly influenced the trajectory of my life, which is why it's such a joy that I am now going to be a Staff Worker in East London.

London has a particular place in my heart, having witnessed how much potential the CUs have in this city during my time as a Relay Worker. Though often small and scattered across the city, the students have a great heart for Jesus and it's exciting to think about how many people they could reach with the gospel. It would be wonderful to help CU members at East London universities to grow in boldness as I did and live for Jesus in every area of their lives.
