When I started the Relay Programme, I'll be honest that I didn't expect to become so deeply passionate about student ministry. But as I spent time walking alongside students, I became convinced that university is such a unique and pivotal season of life. Students are asking big questions, building lifelong friendships, and making decisions that shape their future, making it an incredible opportunity for people to hear the good news of Jesus.
One of my favourite parts of Relay was seeing students begin to understand the gospel for the first time and watching others grow in their already existing love for Jesus and confidence in living for Him. It has been such a joy see God at work in students' lives, and I can't wait to continue serving Him as He builds His Kingdom on campuses across South West London.
I'm so excited to be joining UCCF as a Staff Worker, supporting the Christian Unions at St Mary's University (Twickenham), St George's (Tooting), the University of Roehampton, and Kingston University. London can make CU’s hard, with so many commuters and in such a big place - I’m really keen to support these students in connecting with their local churches and shining Jesus’ light into the city.
