Rachel Jones
Rachel grew up in the Cotswolds, attending church from a young age. Whilst she loved church and felt it to be a great blessing, she very much felt herself to be a "Sunday Christian", lacking a living faith through the week. It wasn’t until she was 17 that she truly understood Christ's sacrificial love for her and she gave her life to Him.
After spending her gap year with a Christian organisation, which was a huge blessing in cementing her in the faith and encouraging her to share the Good News, Rachel moved to Swansea for university. She adored her time at university, and her biggest highlight was being part of the Christian Union. She is so grateful to have had a wonderful Staff Worker and CU encouraging her to be bold in sharing the Good News of Jesus.
This, along with a church internship after university, really encouraged Rachel to join UCCF as a Staff Worker, leading her to Nottingham and Derby! Rachel is so excited to get stuck into the Christian Unions there, seeking to encourage and equip them as they make Jesus known. Students have such a unique opportunity to share the Gospel with other students, and Rachel deems it to be a great privilege and joy to serve them as they do.
