Laura Chimes
Laura is originally from Chepstow, a small town in South Wales, but headed off to the University of Nottingham in 2016 to study Maths (and begin her tour of the Midlands). Although she’d grown up attending church her faith really came alive during her university years and the CU at Nottingham soon became a core part of university life.
The CU's impact on Laura was long lasting - she went on to complete Relay (UCCF’s graduate training programme) in Birmingham and was a Staff Worker in Coventry and Northampton for four years. She is now working in the Development and Communications team where she's able to combine her love of spreadsheets and people, seeking to raise support amongst students and graduates.
In her spare time Laura enjoys exploring new places, knitting and watching films. She also loves music, be it listening to it, playing it or even writing it.
