Tom Widdowson
God saved Tom when he was fifteen years old through a friend inviting him to a church youth group. A proud Yorkshireman, Tom grew up in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, before moving to Durham for university, where he grew massively in his faith.
At university, Tom learned what it meant to live all of life for God's glory and was taught the importance of sharing the gospel with others. His involvement in CU was one of the most significant aspects of his time at uni and he is keen for that to be the story of many more Durham students. After graduating with a BA in Human Geography, Tom decided to stay in Durham and serve a local church for a couple of years before starting work with UCCF.
Tom is passionate about the Bible and about students growing in genuine love for God and others. He and his wife, Anna, are devoted to seeing God's kingdom come in the North East and particularly have a heart for seeing working-class people encounter Jesus. Tom loves football, cricket, books and films. He is especially warm towards those who share his love for Toy Story.
