Sebastien Roach
Sebastien is doing Relay in London, supporting the Christian Union in Imperial College London.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Sebastien says...
Hi, I'm Seb and I'll be working with the CU at Imperial, where I am finishing my master's this year.
I became a Christian in my first year of university in Bristol. For this reason, I know the immense need amongst students, and the unique position of CU to reach them. I am grateful for the ways CU has helped me grow, and how it has developed my heart for all nations and cultures that come together at university.
I have seen that the group at Imperial has a real heart for mission, with weekly Friday evangelism and 'Skeptical' - a place to explore the questions people have. I'm really excited to join them much more next year, as London is a place where the world comes to your doorstep.
I am fully aware that I cannot do anything useful without the Lord, so prayer is vital for my work. Please consider signing up to my prayer letter using the link on this page.
As this role is voluntary, I am also looking to raise over £8000 to cover my expenses throughout the year. Please consider supporting in this way, or praying for provision too.
Pray for Sebastien
Prayer is a vital part of supporting Sebastien’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Sebastien:
- That revival would come to our campus this year, and God would mould our CU into one worthy of this calling.
- That the Lord would help us understand the needs of those who we will encounter, and grow in love of all cultures and nations that gather on campus.
- For provision and encouragement: whether that be partners in mission, or the resources I need to do this work.
