Josh Cooke

Josh is doing Relay in Manchester, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Manchester.

Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.

Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Josh says...

Hi, I'm Josh and I'm doing Relay with the University of Manchester starting in September. I've spent the last three years studying in Manchester, meaning I've had plenty of time to get involved with the Christian Union. This is a big reason I've decided to Relay. Being in the CU meant I got to see first hand the opportunities that there are for evangelism on a uni campus. There have been so many exciting opportunities so far and without having to do a degree on the side, I'll be able to spend so much more time spreading the good news of Jesus. In my time at uni, I've also had amazing discipleship from older Christians and would love to try and replicate this to the students in and around the CU. Relay also means I get to spend a great amount of time studying theology which I'm very excited for!

Please be praying for me and the CU this year. I've listed a few prayer points below but if you'd like to join my monthly prayer letter, please do! There is a link below to do so.

Since Relay is a voluntary role I will be relying on donations from family, friends and churches. I'm aiming to raise approximately £12,000 for the year to cover my living and ministry costs. If you could give anything it would be greatly appreciated!

God bless.
