Zachary Anderson
Zachary is doing Relay in Chester, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Chester.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Zachary says...
Hello! My name is Zachary, and I am thrilled to serve as the Relay Worker for the University of Chester's Christian Union this academic year.
Throughout my time at CU, I have seen God at work, drawing people to Himself and transforming lives. Moreover, I have been encouraged to see Christians experiencing a renewed passion for Him. My first year of university was quite challenging, but my Relay Worker, Molly, invested in me and reminded me of God's grace and love. This positively impacted my life and Christian walk, and I want to offer the same support to others.
Alongside personal study and discipleship under the guidance of my Staff Worker, I will have the opportunity to support the work of the CU and the many students I will encounter. I am very excited, and I hope that all who come will be receptive to the good news of the gospel. I pray that the Lord will empower me to serve humbly and gladly.
I will be dependent on the Lord's provision, including support from people like you who read my profile. I recognise that nothing meaningful is possible without God's help. Therefore, I would be immensely grateful if you could pray for me and the CU for the year ahead. Additionally, as this role is voluntary, I'm aiming to raise approximately £12,000 to cover my living and ministry expenses. Your financial support, if you feel led, would be greatly appreciated.
