Emily Ferrari
My time at the University of York Christian Union was hugely formative for my faith. It was there that I was encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and share the gospel on campus, as well as take on leadership roles such as helping to build and lead an evangelism team. I’m so grateful for the UCCF Staff Workers who invested in me, giving me opportunities like going on mission to Montenegro and attending Forum, where I was equipped, encouraged, and inspired alongside other Christian Union leaders.
Through these experiences, I discovered a real passion for sharing Jesus with others. Being part of a team that ran a week of mission events on campus was particularly impactful, as I saw friends engaging with the gospel and exploring faith for themselves.
Now, I’m so excited to be starting as a Staff Worker supporting the Christian Unions at the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam, and the University of Lincoln. I long to invest in students in the same way I was invested in—encouraging and equipping them to give every student the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
