Joanna Pottinger

Joanna is doing Relay in Newcastle, supporting the Christian Unions in Newcastle University and the University of Northumbria.

Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.

Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Joanna says...

Hi, I'm Joanna. I have recently finished studying Maths at the University of York, and I'm going to be doing Relay in Newcastle.

Being a part of the CU at university has been a blessing, being a part of student evangelism and seeing God's work in students in York. And I'm looking forward to serving Newcastle and Northumbria CUs, meeting new people, and seeing them grow spiritually. I’m also looking forward to delving deeper into the Bible and allowing this experience to strengthen my own faith. I would appreciate prayer that the Lord will give me the confidence to proclaim him boldly and the courage to talk about the things I care about most. And pray that God will go before me into the city of Newcastle and soften hearts and work in the lives of the people I'm looking forward to meeting and the friends I'm looking forward to making.
