Izzy Martin
Izzy is doing Relay in Manchester, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Manchester.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Izzy says...
I am so excited to be a Relay Worker in Manchester this year! I was welcomed into the Univeristy of Manchester's CU by a Relay Worker in my first year, and CU nurtured my faith in more ways than I can even begin to explain. Through CU, God provided me with life-long friendships, the best memories, and endless evangelism opportunities - so I feel incredibly blessed to be able to give back.
When I began my degree in Acting at The Arden School of Theatre, there was no CU - but by His grace, God had a plan to change that. The Arden now has a thriving CU, and I am overjoyed that Relay means I can continue to support them past my own graduation. I would love you to join me in praying for continued strength and growth for The Arden's CU this year.
To be able to fund all of this, I am looking to raise around £10,000 to cover both ministry and living costs, and I would be so grateful for any support - whether it be financially or through prayer. - Thank God for everything He has done within The Arden these last 3 years, and pray for the strength and wisdom of the new leaders.
- Pray that my love for Jesus grows more every day as I learn more about Him.
- Pray that I fully trust in God's plan when things feel daunting or challenging, and find so much joy in serving as a Relay Worker.
