Naomi-Hope Sparks
Naomi-Hope is doing Relay in Manchester, supporting the Christian Union in Manchester Metropolitan University.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Naomi-Hope says...
Hi, I’m Naomi-Hope and I will be doing Relay in Manchester, supporting students attending MMU! I was really blessed by my Relay Worker in 2nd year during my time at MMU. She encouraged me to witness to my course mates through my artwork and this allowed for many conversations about Jesus and why He is so good! This is something I’m looking forward to encouraging in the students of the CU in my time as a Relay Worker ~ to give an opening to get those conversations going with their course mates and the general student populous around them. I’m also looking toward to missions week, as I’ve seen how personal contact can encourage people to consider Jesus as not only an option for them, but a good one and decide to live for Him! How wonderful is that!
As I am doing Relay on a voluntary basis, support from others in the form of prayer and finances is what will keep me going in the year ahead.
