Aimee Davenport
Aimee is doing Relay in Edinburgh, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Edinburgh.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Hello! I’m Aimee and I’ve just finished studying languages at the university of St Andrews. Although originally from Northern Ireland, I’m excited to be staying in Scotland to work alongside the University of Edinburgh’s CU.
Being part of St Andrews CU over the past 5 years has been massively challenging and encouraging for me, giving me opportunities to grow in my own faith and the ways in which I share Jesus with others.
For this reason, I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to support and encourage the students of Edinburgh CU with their own evangelism. This will include reading the Bible with some individuals, helping the CU members to share their faith with students on their campus, while also being able to continue studying and being equipped myself for mission. I can’t wait to see how God is going to work in Edinburgh through the CU there over the next year!
Relay is a voluntary role, I will be relying on the prayerful and financial support of others for the duration of the year. - That I would grow in my love for Christ and my dependence on the Lord, trusting in His provision over the next year.
- For the work I will be doing with students, that I would be a source of encouragement to them in their mission.
