Charlotte Darlington
Charlotte is doing Relay in Leeds, supporting the Christian Unions in Leeds Conservatoire and the University of Leeds.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Charlotte says...
Hello!
My name is Lottie. I’ve recently finished a three year degree in BSL, Deaf studies and Linguistics at York St John University and I’m really excited to be moving to Leeds to work with two of the Christian Unions there.
I was blessed to be involved with the CU when I was at university and remember being warmly welcomed as a fresher. I prayed that as a CU we would be able to extend that welcome to other students. God has been and remains faithful in reaching out to students that don’t know him yet, and I am so excited to be even a little part of this.
The UCCF team supported me so well through university. I’m praying I can “relay” the support that I received by blessing, supporting and getting alongside students in evangelism, whilst also growing in my own faith and knowledge of the bible.
My heart for this year is to be fully faithful to Jesus. I would love for you to pray that he brings many students in Leeds to faith. Please also pray for him to use me in this work. Since my role with Relay is voluntary, I'm aiming to raise approximately £10,000 to cover my living and ministry costs. I would be so grateful if you would also consider supporting me financially.
Thank you so much for any support you are able to give me this year, in prayer or finance.
God bless!
Pray for Charlotte
Prayer is a vital part of supporting Charlotte’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Charlotte:
- Pray that God would be opening the hearts of students at the universities in Leeds, putting them in the paths of Christians on campus, and that he would continue to work through the CUs to bring people to Himself.
- Pray that I would continually be dependent on God and his grace, not relying on my own strength, and that he would sustain me, drawing me closer to himself this year, enabling me to see him more clearly and serve him more effectively.
- Rejoice in all that the Lord has done through the CUs and pray for Christian students to be passionate and bold in sharing the Gospel with their friends and on campus.
